BRIDGE BASICS

At Bridge, we’re family. We strive to move beyond conventional religious activity and engage in meaningful worship, practical and life-changing Bible teaching, and an intentional focus on mission, both locally and globally. Our “Bridge Basics,” the foundational purposes of our church, help condense these purposes into four core statements and provide specificity on what we stand for as a church.

INTENTIONAL
GROWTH

Intentional growth is a core value at Bridge. We desire to help anyone who walks through our doors to interact with God in a new and vibrant way. Scripture promises us that it does not return void and we trust that promise in our walks with Him. Growth however, does not simply happen; we must be intentional. Growth is an active and continuous endeavor. Bridge seeks to provide resources and encouragement toward that end as together we “grow in grace” (2 Peter 3:18).

AUTHENTIC
COMMUNITY

We were created to live in community. When we come alongside others and allow others to come alongside us, we can sharpen, support, and strengthen each other, and grow in ways that we never could alone. The church is the Body of Christ, made up of many members. Life is better connected and Bridge provides opportunities for families and individuals to become connected in the body of Christ. Our desire is to see lives being impacted and changed for the glory of God through a deep and authentic community of believers.

GENEROUS
STEWARDSHIP

Everything we have comes from God, and when we “give back,” it is an act of worship, responding to God’s amazing grace in our lives. God is extremely generous with us and we seek to follow His example in showing generosity to others. Our time, talents, and treasures are all aspects of life that we are called to steward well.

COMPASSIONATE
OUTREACH

It is said that people don’t care how much you know until they know how much you care. As we reach out to people with the good news of salvation by grace through faith in Christ, we desire to do so with compassion. We also support various ministry partners which work to meet the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of people, whether in Muskegon or around the world. It is our privilege to partner with ministries and families that are uniquely equipped to reach people we otherwise would not reach.
